It’s a friendly battle between Taraba Kopa pen pushers/media men and the sportsmen today by 4:00 pm at the Jolly Nyame Stadium, Jalingo as the Editorial Board CDS plays host to the all-conquering Sports CDS.

The novelty match which would not only serve as a program in the welcome agenda for the new batch ‘B’, 2015 corps members of the Publicity unit is also one to foster healthy relationship among the two CD group.

However, the recent result has unsurprisingly not gone in the media men way as the last friendly game played 20th of June, last year ended with the Sports team putting four goals past the hapless Editorial team.

However, one person who seem to be riding on the ocean of optimism is the Editorial Board CDS president Tobi Ogundeyi who has since said:

It is important we display a sense of unity as that’s what the NYSC scheme crave for. And it is pivotal that the Editorial Board CDS leads by example as we are always regarded as the ‘House of information’.

Now, our legs will do the talking and writing for us…We  have confidence in our team that we will do wonders with through their legs as we’ve always done with our pen.

‘It is time we drop our writing pen and lace our boot’…Editorial Board CDS!

The Sports CDS buoyed not only by the arrival of former Super Eagles of Nigeria team coordinator Emmanuel Attah as the State Coordinator but also by his courtesy visit to their training on Wednesday are undoubtedly fired up for this clash.

FUN FACT: The aforementioned match actually ended in a draw after four goals were ostensibly rewarded the Editorial team after a rather funny consensus was reached between both sides before kick-off.
