The host, Sports CDS (football team) whose last high profile match came against the Editorial CDS team whom they defeated a resounding six-nil will take to field a team – dominant of their CDS but consisting of representatives from various CDS (only Batch As’) who must have passed the two-day screening process held last week at the training pitch 1 of the Jolly Nyame Stadium

The football-loving corpers seek to leave NYSC full of pride as they face yet another potential banana peel in Police Machine in their final appearance for NYSC Taraba this afternoon.

With Batch A 2015 corpers scheduled to observe their Passing Out Parade on Thursday, April 14th, this match is meant to serve as part of their farewell activities and it is tagged Passing Out Match (POM) for the corps members – a fact echoed by Jalingo Local Government Inspector, Mr. Sunday Wankari – and they are looking forward to settle for nothing less than victory, more importantly with help from other CD groups.

Reports from the players’ training/screening are that Stanley ‘Ofox’ Ofochebe whose hattrick against the Editorial CDS team did more than damage has been a handful for defenders and the goalkeepers, also Editorial CDS representatives Tobi Ogundeyi and Tolulope Olasoji have so far impressed in training with the latter scoring two goals in as many trainings. And also Dominic Kalu – an optometrist who added a goal to his eye catching displays.

With several dignitaries ranging from NYSC Taraba State Coordinator Emmanuel Attah – a former Super Eagles team coordinator and seasoned sports administrator – to the Commissioner of the Police Forces, Taraba State expected to witness the action this afternoon, all Taraba Kopa are expected to be there as directed by the LGI.
